Alto Reed- My band was used to host Butch and Alto Reed in an All Star group creation for a charitable event. Got to play several tunes together ... Hearing the story behind how the Sax Lick for turn the page was created in the studio by the man who created it is a priceless moment in time...Bob Seger apparently painted this Fire Escape ally way picture to Alto and the result is the lick... If I have an ounce of showman ship, it's only because Alto showed me how it could be done... I'll never forget what a nice Cat Alto is and the memory of his Playing at the Sportatorium S.FLA...Shades...Spot Light...Up in the rafters...WTF over???
